The Symposium was organized by the Velanidia Association ďMyrtidiotissaĒ, the Centre for Spartan and Peloponnesian Studies of the University of Nottingham and the Municipality of Monemvasia in cooperation with the Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos (Med-Ina) and the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation. The Symposium was organized under the auspices of the Region of the Peloponnese and dedicated to the memory of ďCaptainĒ Vassilis Constantakopoulos.
